FAQ
What is a Yumi Lash Lift?
Think of it as a glow-up for your natural lashes. The Yumi Lash Lift gently lifts each lash from the root, giving them curl, separation, and the illusion of length - no extensions needed. We also include a complimentary tint for that extra pop. It’s a keratin-infused treatment, packed with vitamins to nourish your lashes while it works. Hypoallergenic, cruelty-free, and flutter-worthy? Yes please.
How long do the results last?
Expect your lashes to stay lifted for 6–8 weeks - longer if you follow the aftercare to the letter (aka no steamy showers or oil cleansers straight after).
Is it safe for my natural lashes?
Totally. The Yumi formula is gentle and conditioning - it’s actually good for your lashes. Just avoid overdoing it (we space treatments at least 8 weeks apart) to keep your lashes healthy and strong.
Can I wear mascara after a Lash Lift?
Absolutely. The lift gives you that wide-eyed look, but if you want extra drama or volume, go ahead and layer on your favourite mascara.
What aftercare is required?
Keep your lashes dry for 48 hours post-treatment - that means no water, steam, or oil-based products. After that, avoid oil cleansers to help your lift last as long as possible.
Can I get a lash lift while pregnant or breastfeeding?
It’s generally considered safe, but we always recommend checking with your doctor or midwife first. Just a heads up: hormonal changes can sometimes affect your results.
How often should I get a Yumi Lash Lift?
We recommend no more frequently than every 8 weeks to give your lashes time to reset. You can come in for a tint refresh around the 4-week mark if you’re craving a little more lash definition in between.
Will it work if I have short lashes?
Most of the time, yes - we’ve only turned away one client ever, and sent them home with a lash serum first. If you’re unsure, pop in and let us take a look. We’ll give you honest advice (and a game plan if needed).
Are there any contraindications I should know about?
If you have any current eye infections, recent eye surgery, or active irritation around the eye area, we’ll need to wait. Unsure? Give us a call on +6442101619 or email us at hello@iris-beauty.co.nz- we’re always happy to talk it through.
