Use after establishing your primary gua sha practice with the Intro or Pro. Apply facial oil before use. The rounded tips are designed for gentle acupressure around the eye area — use feather-light pressure. Clean after each use with hot soapy water. Handle carefully when wet. Video tutorials available on the Lanshin Instagram and YouTube channel. Not recommended during pregnancy without guidance from a licensed acupuncturist.

Sandra Lanshin Chiu describes this as not a primary instrument — and that framing is right. The Sculpting Spoon doesn't replace the Intro or Pro; it adds to them. The rounded tips are designed for the tiny muscles around the eyes, nose and mouth that a larger tool can't address precisely — acupressure points, under-eye drainage, the kind of detailed facial work that produces visible results in areas that standard gua sha strokes miss. The spoon bowl creates a different kind of contact for cheek sculpting and jaw release. If you have the Intro and aren't ready for the Pro, this is the upgrade that adds the most new capability for the least complexity.

Lanshin was founded by Sandra Lanshin Chiu, a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine in New York. Nephrite Jade, also known as “He Tian” Jade, is more rare than Xiuyan Jade. It’s also denser and heavier than the more common types of Jade so it’s less prone to chipping or breakage.
