Douglas Little's brief: what does Count Orlok's castle smell like? He rejected the obvious answers — blood, roses, smoke, candle wax — and went somewhere stranger. Lilac and ambrette seed open with a wilting, slightly damp floral; petrichor and violet absolute create an electric, stormy quality in the heart; vegan ambergris, oud and labdanum build a base that is dark and intimate. Cold, pale and genuinely unsettling — which is exactly right. Stock is very limited.
