HOW TO USE

PM only. Apply after the #4 Cleanser, before #6. On resilient skin, can be used nightly alongside #6. Part of the RATIONALE PM routine: #4 → #5 → #6.

#5 The Serum does something slightly different from most acid treatments in a RATIONALE context — it works by acidifying the skin's pH rather than simply exfoliating the surface, which is what makes it compatible with the vitamin A in #6 on resilient skin rather than being the kind of product that requires strict alternating nights. Salicylic acid, lactic acid, glycolic acid precursors from sugar cane and fruit, and Australian finger lime extract work together. The texture is lightweight and watery — it absorbs immediately and doesn't interfere with the #6 Night Creme applied after it. For skin that has built up a tolerance and wants the full routine working every evening.
