Created in collaboration with Dita Von Teese, Scandalwood leads with Bulgarian rose — one of the most prized rose varieties in perfumery — and then immediately subverts it. Atlas cedar and coriander add spice where you'd expect powder; labdanum and sandalwood pull the base into something resinous and skin-close. The result is a rose that doesn't smell like a rose, or at least not the kind you've encountered before. If roses in fragrance have always felt too soft or too obviously feminine, this is worth trying. Try it layered with Dirty Vanilla for a deeper vanilla-rose combination, or Smudge if you want more smoke.
